Mr. and Ms. Philippine Youth 2014

Mr. and Ms. Philippines Youth has been existing in the world of pageantry for 13 years now. It was founded in year 2000 by Hon. Gerald de las Alas Ortiz who is a board member of the 4th District of Quezon Province together with it's managing partner Mr. Jojo Victorio who owns the Victorio Modelling Agency here in the Philippines and the Sydney Ice Style Modolls & Casting Agency in Australia.
Mr. and Ms. Philippine Youth is all about a search for a role model of the Filipino Youth. Prizes at stake is 70,000 cash which is given the day after the pageant. The winners of the said pageant will be given a chance to travel the Philippines especially visiting schools to promote Youth Leadership.
Today I witnessed their event in McDO El Pueblo, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. I was given a chance to see and talked to some of the candidates.
Miss Monica Misenas, is one of the front runners of the said pageant though novice in the world of pageantry. She graduated at Centro Escolar University with a degree of BS Tourism. She is 5'6 1/2 in height, represented Philippines in Miss Humanity International 2013 where she is among the top 5 finalists and bagged the Continental Queen of Asia. And nowadays, she's doing a charity work as a ramp model. Her advocacy is all about bullying and discrimination. She's a good role model for this pageant if given the chance to bring home the title.
Miss Abegael Arnante, one of those who has a huge potential of bringing home the title. Abegael is a freshman student of Central Bicol State University of Agriculture. She hails from Pili, Camarines Sur, stands 5'8 and currently reaped the Miss University crown in her school. Abeagel is 16 years old. She has plan joining other national pageant in the near future.
Mr. Jason Lawrence Salvador, is a brother of Maja Salvador, at present he is studying at Colegio de San Lorenzo taking up BSBA Marketing. He said that Mr. Philippine Youth is his stepping stone in joining other Male National Pageant. He learned a lot in this pageant and will use those knowledge in any other pageants. He is a ramp model and if chance will come along his way, he will enter show business as well.
Mr. Jovy Bequillo, is an 18 year old lad studying at Arellano University taking up BS Tourism. He is one of the front runners of the said pageant along with Mr. Salvador. As press time he is a part-time ramp model. He is also plan of joining show business if the future. If given a chance he will join Male National Pageant in the country.
Below are some photos of the contestants coming from different provinces. On December 29,2013 Mr. and Ms. Philippine Youth will have it's pre-pageant night and on the 5th of January will be the pageant night to be held in Philippines Convention Center at 7:00 pm.
